  • HOW DO I KNOW WHAT STYLE OF PRINT FINISH TO GET FOR MY WALL?
This is subjective but usually comes down to personal taste and cost. Do you want the print to be framed or not? Framed prints look the most stylish and paper prints are usually required to be framed behind glass, whereas canvas, acrylic and aluminium HD prints can be displayed on a wall without a frame. An increase in expense usually comes in the form of framing so picking a finish that doesn’t require this can help to keep costs down. Consideration also needs to be given to reflections from light in the room. Paper prints look bold, beautiful and stylish when framed but glare from light sources in a space can impede the viewing experience unless using non-reflective glass. Sometimes, the more expensive museum quality glass is required to display a framed print for optimum viewing. Canvas prints come ready to hang but can also be displayed in a floating wooden frame. Unframed canvas prints have no distractions with the print taking all the attention but for a more classic interior style, a floating wooden frame around your stretched canvas produces that classic look. Other options to consider are Acrylic prints and Aluminium HD. Both are borderless and eye catching and don’t require a frame and the wall mounts are conclealed to give that floating look. A premium option for an acrylic print is a framed acrylic float mount, which is where a print is acrylic face mounted and then attached to a beautiful box frame, giving the appearance of it floating while maintaining that classic look. Aluminium HD Prints prints can be framed in three different styles; Floating Hanger: A frameless option that appears to float off the wall for an effective contemporary look. European Frame: The metal print sits flush on top of the frame, so that the frame is not visible from the front and only seen when viewed from the sides. Art Box Frame: A fine edge surrounds your metal print which sits flush inside our custom designed moulding with a small gap in-between. Tasmanian Oak: A Scandinavian inspired style that is modern and minimalist, the frame is 35mm deep from the wall. The moulding surrounding the metal print, when viewed from the front is 7mm, with a small gap between the metal print edge and the moulding. In most instances, simple block white, black or natural wooden frames are the best choice if you want a contemporary, minimalist look.
  • HOW DO I KNOW WHAT SIZE PRINT TO GET FOR MY WALL?
Please see my Size Guide for an indication of print sizes in rooms simulations
  • WHICH IS THE BEST PAPER TYPE FOR MY PRINT?
I will suggest the best paper to use when a paper print is purchased but the following is a general guide: In most instances, Smooth Pearl will be the best finish to go for as it is neither too glossy or too matte. Alternatively, Fine Art Smooth Cotton Rag is the next best alternative as these prints have no glare or reflection, perfect for framing. Sometimes, Metallic prints add a unique flair to my images. A high contrast ‘chrome on paper’ look, metallic paper adds extreme vibrancy to colours, giving my images greater details and depth. This generally works best with my photographs of the night sky
  • HOW LONG WILL MY PRINT LAST?
I always source the very best quality materials in Australia for all my print mediums to ensure your purchase will last as long as possible. Having said that, light will always cause inks to fade over time. The longevity of a print is determined by how it is displayed. For example, in darkness a print will last 100+ years, whereas if a print is hung in direct sunlight the colours will potentially fade over 30 years. Canvases are designed to last 200+ years!
  • THE IMAGE I WANT ISN'T ON YOUR WEBSITE, CAN I STILL BUY IT?
Of course. Most of my latest photographs are shared on social media via Facebook and Instagram, so if you find a photograph on there that you really like and it isn’t listed on my website, copy the link to the photo and send it through to me! I can arrange a quote and email you with more details.
  • CAN I VIEW THE DIFFERENT PRINT TYPES IN PERSON BEFORE BUYING?
Of course, get in touch and we can organise an appointment at a convenient time and place for viewing different print types.
  • DO PRINTS COME WITH A BORDER?
All framed and non framed paper prints come with a white border as well as a signature and title. Canvas prints, Acrylic Prints and HD Aluminium prints come with a digital signature in the bottom right corner unless otherwise specified.
  • HOW MUCH DOES SHIPPING COST?
Delivery on all products to South Australia is free. Cost for delivery Australia wide varies depending on product and can be quoted on request. Cost for delivery world wide varies depending on product and can be quoted on request.
  • HOW LONG WILL IT TAKE FOR MY PRINTS TO BE DELIVERED?
